Resumen Esta plática estará enfocada en los métodos existentes y los modernos diseñados por el autor y su grupo de investigación en torno a la reconstrucción de objetos multidimensionales con aplicaciones en medicina, video, percepción remota, robots, etc. Entre los problemas que va a exponer el autor de esta plática se encuentran los siguientes:
Breve semblanza biográfica
Volodymyr Ponomaryov received the Dip. Eng. (Hon.) degree in electrical engineering in 1970, the Ph.D. degree in radio engineering in 1974, and the Doctor of Science degree in 1981, all from the Kharkov Aviation Institute, Ukraine, ex USSR. >From 1984 to 1993 he was a Full Professor (High Attestation Commission of exUSSR Government) at the Department of Radio Electronics System of the Kharkov Aviation Institute at Kharkov. >From 1974 to 1984, he was with the Scientific Research Department of the Kharkov Aviation Institute, Kharkov, ex USSR, as a Research Fellow, Senior Fellow in signal/image processing for radar and navigation technologies, Ukraine. In 1993 and 1994 he spent one year as invited Researcher at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM, Mexico-city). He immigrated to Mexico in 1996, and from this year is working as Full Titular Professor at Instituto Politecnico Nacional de Mexico (Mexico-city). Dr. Ponomaryov holds 23 patents of ex-URSS, Russia and Mexico and about 20 author certificates. He has published five books with international publishers, more than 150 papers in international indexed journals, and more than 300 conference papers among them numerous invited and plenary papers. He is a referee for more than 20 international scientific journals, and a member of the editorial board of several international journals and conferences. He was the lead guest editor of a special issue on Image and Video Quality Improvement Techniques for Emerging Applications in EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing (2012). Dr. Ponomaryov served and currently serves as Associate Editor in the Journal of Real Time Image Processing (Springer). His research interests are in signal/image/video processing with applications in communications, remote sensing, medical applications, artificial vision, robots, etc. In particular, his research areas include super-resolution, image/video filtering, pattern recognition in remote sensing, tridimensional visualization, sparse signal/image representations in different applications. Over the years he has also been a promoter of 40 Ph.D.s (17 in Mexico) on his scientific areas of interests. He is member: of IEEE, of SPIE, of IEICE (Japan), of Mexican Academy of Sciences, of Technological Sciences Academy of Ukraine. He is member of National Mexican Investigator System (SNI-III). |
